It announced that the world’s largest technology companies will meet the electricity requirement of the Apple main data center completely from renewable energy sources. [
While the company will build two separate solar power plants with a power of 20 MW near the data center for this purpose, it will also buy a fuel battery with 5 MW power from Bloom Energy company.
]The company predicts that it can produce a total of 124 million kilowatt-hour electricity, including 84 million kilowatt-hour solar power plants per year. Apple will cover 60% of the electricity needs of the plant while the difference in the meantime is by providing electricity purchases produced based on renewable energy sources.
In the last period, especially under the pressure of the international environmental organization Greenpeace, outside of this data center of Apple, one of the other two centers built in it announced that it will not use coal-source electricity.
