The effects of the crisis of the coronavirus (Covid-19) on economic activities in the Mediterranean show itself in more small-scale fishing industry in Turkey. The small-scale fishermen who often operate on the coastal regions have to stop their activities with the rest of the street; the increase of costs and disruption of the supply-demand balance, causing them to fall disadvantaged in the first sale. In this unusual period, conditions are reshape for small-scale fishing as well as in all fishing sector. WWF-Mediterranean Initiative (MMI) attracted attention to the fact that the crisis in the fishing sector affected by the developments in the pandemi process can be assessed as a new start to speed up the process of reinvention of fishing activities in the Mediterranean.

]WWF (World Nature Protection Foundation) was included in the trial text titled Covid-19 Crisis and Fishing in the sea:]
