05.02.2009 Wheat
]]The Environmental Protection Center started a new project called “Building infrastructure for effective protection of Turkey’s butterflies” with the support received from the Dutch Government Ministry of Agriculture.
[[T]]The Protection Center at this stage will focus on increasing capacity and building technical infrastructure. A summer school will be held for studies to increase observation and knowledge levels of butterfly observers. The basics of butterfly observing in nature, methods and land will be learned to collect data at the level that can be used for nature protection. The data will be collected and the “red list” will be created from species that tend to reduce dispersions. The project is expected to participate in the public in various stages.
