It was reported that the illegal tree cut in Endonezya costs at least 2 billion dollars in the country, this amount is more than all of the health expenses in the country.

[[T] JAARTA - A report published by the Human Rights Monitoring Organization (Human Rights Watch-HRW) was stated that the corruption in the forestry industry is widespread in the country, this situation threatens the launch of ambitious forest credit programs to fight global warming such as REDD (Redemption of Impairment and the Reduced Emissions derived from the Tahribin of Forests). [
HRW Programs Director Joseph Saunders, as long as the absence of transparency and controls is not taken seriously, they found the warning that it brings more money on behalf of carbon loans, rather than solve the problem.[
Raporda stated that more than half of the trees in the country between 2003-2006 are illegally cut, this situation leads to losing at least 2 billion dollars per year.
Raporda highlighted that with a loss of 2 billion dollars, the poorest 100 million Indonesian will be guaranteed by two years of basic treatments.
HRW calls Indonesia’s business partners to ensure that they are not partnered with this corruption. (aaa)
