Ofel now more green
The Eiffel Tower, which is shown among the most important architectural works of the world, entered with a different innovation at the age of 127. Thanks to the wind roses installed on the scaffold, Ofel started to supply some of the energy needed from renewable resources.
With the project applied by the American Urban Green Energy company, it is aimed to produce 10.000 kw of electricity annually. This figure means to meet the energy used for all commercial activities in the first floor of Eiffel Tower. [
] UGE] preferred vertical turbines suitable for use in narrow areas when applying the project. The turbines painted bronze color to not spoil the image of Eiffel. In order to benefit from the wind in the city maximum, turbines are placed about 122 meters high from the ground.
Ofel’s choice of renewable energy is very important not only in terms of meeting its needs, but in terms of example to other structures. We are looking forward to the increase of iconic buildings that prefer sustainable energy.
