50 years of seeds germinate
In 2012, the Turkish seeder of the Istanbul Trade Exchange has started with the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering at Yeditepe University in 2012. The scientific studies on seeds that have been blocked with any genetically distributed in the Exchange storages start to give the first results. As a result of 30 months of studies in the laboratory environment of Yeditepe University on 50 years of seeds, the germination of barley, wheat and chickpe seeds were eaten.

The working process on the seed of the breeding team has improved: The team developed a formula that provides successful germination of fatal seeds, which are detected firstly alive. It’s also found a new seed around technology to dispose of different obstacles in and outside of the seed during and after germination.
The most sensitive process took place at this stage, and new inventions were successfully applied to cadîm seeds. At the end of a 30-month humid study, the most demanding stage was left behind successfully, when the wheat, barley and chickpe seeds in plant growing cabins were seen first grass.

This project was revealed that the historical seeds of different plant types in Istanbul Commodity Exchange costs are possible as grass and gene source of recovery. Patent applications were made for the prevention of stolen and imitating new inventions developed by the research team.
