Buildings that produce their own energy

[The amount of solar energy that falls in one hour on the world is more than that the whole world consumes in one year. There should be no issues such as eneriye or energy crisis. Renewable energy sources that expect to be used in our environment are unlimited. The most important thing we need to do is to look more different than the “energy” topic today and think more different for “energy resources”.
As well as roof and facades of the buildings we’ve used, the floors and more solar energy decreases than that buildings consume one year. It is possible to convert energy to electricity or thermally available energy. Construction components used in roof and facades of buildings can produce electricity with photovoltaic (PV). For example; roof tile or water isolation membranes, south-facing glass or Atrium glass, even exterior paints can produce electricity today. We called “BIPV” with these types of products.
In order to be “BIPV” of an application, architect, engineer and/or technical team should design the application together. Architect chooses of structure components to use when designing buildings, PV-featured material, and designs to make the structure more benefit from the sun. When the building is designed as BIPV from the beginning, it also has the advantages of aesthetics, functionality and cost. After the existing buildings, there are problems with visual and cost.
In recent years BIPV applications are increasing rapidly in the world. For example, in 2011, a total of 340 MWp size application is realized, when 2016 comes, this value is 3,600 MWp. 1 MWp board power is installed in 1.5 – 2 million euros. With a rough account, our southern regions pay back to 8-10 years. Life is 25 years and above. 1MWp Installation cost is expected to drop up to 1 million Euro levels.
