Vodafone added a new one to the steps he jumped in the field of sustainability. To date, Vodafone, which supports the management and recycling of e-waste with initiatives such as ‘These Wastes Code Summer’ and ‘ReWorld Open Innovation Program’, is now aiming to raise awareness in various areas with the ‘Green Planet Together Possible’ sustainability project in different provinces of Turkey. Turkish Vodafone Foundation and Habitat Association cooperated with the project, students will be given online trainings on climate change, electronic waste conversion, recycling, sustainability and disaster. After the trainings, an idea of the project participants will also be held. Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to reach a total of 1000 students at the first stage with a 50-person trainer staff of volunteers.

“We’ve set out from the word “I’ve leaned while experiencing the mouth”]
] At the press conference of the project, the Chairman of the Vodafone Foundation of Turkey Hasan Ssel attracted attention to the common issue of environmental problems. The manual said: "Vodafone is based on our goal-oriented company approach to reveal the potential of telecommunications and communication technologies to become a solution to global and local problems of the sector. We aim to develop products and services, programs and projects focused on creating value for our stakeholders. In this regard, sustainability is important and we see among our primary topics. We opened coding classes in schools with the ‘This Wastes Code Summer’ project, our employees and business partners’ contributions. We were looking for inclusive and sustainable solutions with young people who have started last year with 'ReWorld Open Innovation Program. When designing the ‘Green Planet Together Possible’ sustainability project, we’ve started moving from the word ‘tree’. We aim to grow conscious individuals in our world and our surroundings and we have implemented the ‘Green Planet Together’ project to create environmental awareness and become competent individuals in sustainability. “

]It is very critical to train sensitive individuals
Hasan Ssel stressed that it is important to give awareness to our children about environmental problems and to provide them with the right time of training. “To ensure the environment-friendly individuals grow, and to grow generations with sustainability awareness in the future, it was quite critical in terms of our country.” In recent years, we feel much more about the effects of climate change in both our country and the world. 2020, the highest temperatures in Europe were seen from fires in Australia and USA, floods in South Asia, which has increased various negative effects of extreme weather conditions. The flood and forest fires that are affected by our country and affect all deeply reveal that next generations need to increase awareness in this area.. This is exactly what we want to do with ‘Green Planet Together’ project. To date, we left a good footprint by developing digital skills with coding trainings that we offer to our children with the semi-coders project. Now we aim to bring both projects into life by combining on the same target audience, so we aim to achieve more children with improved sustainability awareness of digital skills. As a result of the project, we will expect children to produce digital solutions related to environmental problems. Thus, our children can produce their own thoughts and solutions to the environment. They may have climate ambassadors in close circles as individuals who grow with the awareness of protecting our world. We believe that environmental awareness to be gained in early ages is important in the future of our planet. We invite everyone to be sensitive to environmental sustainability, saying it is possible to work together with a greener, more sustainable planet. "

[“A more livable world and it is possible to come! "]
The Chairman of the Association of Habitat Sezai prepared, said: "We are constantly observing the effects of human origin climate change. As a result of increased disasters, many live harms see. As Habitat Association, we have been working for a long time to create awareness and develop solutions in this field. We are a great happiness and proud to start the ‘Green Planet Together Possible’ sustainability project, which is highly important for sustainability and signed projects in this focus.. We aim to provide 1000 students and indirect knowledge and awareness to parents within the scope of the project. We will also enable children to reveal their ideas in sustainability with the idea marathons we will perform under the project. We will contribute to an important step for a more livable world. Let’s forget that a more liable world and the future is possible!"

]50 will reach 1000 students by trainer
The ‘Green Planet Together’ project designed as a sub-arm of ‘Semi Coders’ project will be organized synchronous and asynchronous trainings for children aged 7-14 years living in different provinces of Turkey, to raise awareness on climate change, electronic waste conversion, recycling, sustainability and disaster. A total of 1000 students are aiming to reach a total of 50 students with a volunteering project. Within the scope of the project that will take about 6 months, a 2-stage program will be applied consisting of educational training and awareness training.
Active learning approach to educators
will attend Vodafone Volunteers, Habitat Volunteers and trainers to educational training. Climate change, electronic waste conversion, recycling, sustainability and disaster studies will be prepared with an approach where participants can gain information and skills related to content and method, fully active learning methods are used. Event applications and training methods to be experienced in the local language.

Online training for farm
A curious content will be prepared to provide children with awareness training. Online trainings will be given to children following this video by volunteer instructors. In these trainings, ‘What is the Environment?’, ‘Sustainability and Climate Change’, ‘Wastes, Recycling and Electronic Wastes’ will work on ‘ Disaster Education’ topics. After these topics, students aim to complete the environmental awareness training data and online training pressure. At the end of the online education, half-coders will continue training. With this training, children are aiming to produce solutions to world problems by consolidating the information they learn. Children will be shared on the online platform after all the trainings are finished, and they will be able to watch the content of ‘What can I do now?’ which will increase awareness in sustainability and disaster issues.

]The final stage will be kidathon
The final stage of the ‘Green Planet Together’ project will be the competition to be organized by ‘kidathon’. Climate change, electronic waste conversion, recycling, sustainability and disaster issues will be held in 2 stages in the competition, previously asked students to produce solutions related to world problems. In the competition where the participation of the minimum 150 people is targeted, the first 3 primary school teams to be selected by the jury and the first 3 secondary school teams will be awarded.
