"Head Type" Solar Power Plant Established
17 April 2013 Energy World
]]The installation of Turkey's first "kule-type condensed solar power plant" started in 2005 by a company.
Greenway, Turkey's Technology Development Foundation (TTGV) and the center of Toroslar district with the support of TUBITAK, AR-GE studies for the plant, prototype development and investment of 50 million dollars for the final facility installation was carried out. [
AR-GE works in 2005, the facility started in March last year, was designed by a team of fully Turkish engineers. The system that converts solar energy to electricity has 5 megawatt power capacity, equivalent to the energy requirement of the thousand 500 houses.
]wireless communication system was used in Mersin for the first time in the power plant, which is similar in Spain, Israel and USA.
In the system, solar rays are located on the tower at about 50 meters height and specially designed to reflect to the receiver and get angry steam in high temperature and pressures. Angry steam is converted into electrical energy in conventional turbines.
[The co-founder and project management director Serdar Erturan also said that the components that create electrical production system from condensed solar energy are aimed to provide the market by designing more efficiently than all global suppliers.
