Metro Turkey has been publishing sustainability report since 2016 in order to protect Turkish cuisine culture and values and transfer all its activities for 33 years to the next generations. Metro Turkey is preparing in the Impact Report format for the last three years to measure the impact of its activities on the ecosystem. In the report prepared in accordance with the basic option of GRI Standards published by Global Reporting Initiative (Global Reporting Initiative), in 2022, Metro Turkey’s performance, action, target and future plans are shared in accordance with the sustainability vision of ‘Can change a plate half’ in 2022.

Metro Turkey reduced food waste by reaching 50 percent reduction targets by 2030 percent to the United Nations (BM) food loss and waste by 2021. Again compared to the same year 2022, 66 percent were reached. Metro Turkey CEO Sinem Typeng; “ESG reports know the value for us and all stakeholders, we collect our data to report with all our transparency every year and share it open to access through our website. With somut targets and measurements, we report our effects in a transparent way. Based on changing situations, we are planning to rebuild our resources and focus on areas that we can benefit most.” [
