Sapanca Lake will be protected with special provisions

[[ Sakarya Metropolitan Mayor Zeki Toçoğlu, in his written statement, hosted by Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewage Administration (SASKİ), reported that the meeting with the Ministry of Forest and Water Works was started to identify special rules in the meeting with the General Directorate of Kocaeli Water and Sewage (ISU). Toçoğlu, who expresses that works will be expected until the end of the year, stressed that special procedures to be determined to be exact solutions to the use of Sapanca Lake. [ Toçoğlu, who pay attention to the fact that all of the nature-specific rules are expressed as special provision: After the renovation of the work, Sapanca Basin will be completely managed according to these special provisions. The ingredients to be held in the Basin and the creation to be applied in this regard, agricultural activities in the turquoise and the considerations to be paid in these activities will be held in the lake or dam reach from drinking water and all the details will be determined as special provisions. As to remember, our General Directorate of SASKİ started with important project with the participation of TUBITAK, Istanbul, Kocaeli and Sakarya University. In this project, science about Sapanca Lake has significant data. This study is the most comprehensive study done on lakes in Turkey. This data will also be important among the work of special provisional certificates.
