In the second half of 2012, the share of renewable energy sources increased to 25 percent in meeting the electricity demand of Germany. In 2011, this rate was 21 percent. [

The statement made by the German Energy Industry Association (BDEW) was announced that the electricity generated from renewable energy sources in the second half of 2012.

In this period, when wind energy meets the 9.2 percent of the total electrical demand of the country, the solar energy was able to respond to 5.3 percent of the electrical demand with a increase of 47 percent according to the same period of the previous year.

In Germany 2035, 35 percent of the total electrical need is aimed at providing renewable energy sources.
